they are. is a 45 minutes durational performance that was set in a swimming hall in collaboration with musician Ard Kok We gathered materials we would work with during the performance and the performance itself was improvised. I created sculptures and installations from objects found within the building and Ard had sounds ready to work into a soundscape. Our score was to listen and respond to each other through sound and movement without verbal communication. My movements and creations would influence the soundscape and vice versa. We gave space for our collaborative process to take shape with our audience as our witness.
